Privacy Policy

We collect personal information from you in order to be able to contact you about Chancel Singers' events and rehearsals and to send you other relevant information about the music that is being sung. The Treasurer keeps details of banking arrangements for the payment of subscriptions and financial transactions.

The information we collect is:

Your name
Email address
Mobile telephone number(s) (to use only whilst away at a cathedral or concert venue to transmit information at short notice and then only where consent has been given for its use)
Banking details held by the Treasurer

The specific legal bases against which the Chancel Singers will collect and use information are:

Legitimate Interest (for members of the choir)
Consent (for those who are occasional singers with the choir)
All members of the choir need to give their consent to names and photos being published on the Chancel Singers website subject to the requirements of the choir’s Safeguarding Policy: http://www.chancel-singers.org.uk

Data privacy

We endeavour to take all reasonable steps to protect your personal information; information held on computers/mobile phones is password protected
We do not give any details to a third party (occasionally requests are received for names of singers or accompanists; in these instances the third party will be asked to email/text their request to the Secretary or the Director of Music who will pass it on to individuals for their consideration): director@chancel-singers.org.uk / secretary@chancel-singers.org.uk
In the event of a person leaving the Chancel Singers that person shall decide whether their personal information shall be retained for a limited period of 12 months or immediately deleted.

How you can access or correct your information

We will ensure that the information we hold will be accurate and up-to-date. You can check the information that we hold about you by emailing us at: secretary@chancel-singers.org.uk

If you find any inaccuracies we will correct them promptly.

Withdrawing consent

You may withdraw consent to contact from us at any point in the future by emailing secretary@chancel-singers.org.uk.

By disclosing your personal information to us you consent to the collection, storage and processing of your personal information by the Chancel Singers as set out in this policy.
